If you are an obese fatty, it will hear your stomping, crunching, and laboured breathing and just run away. 90 yards is considered fair distance. The main advantage a rifle has over a bow is the fact you can ethically make a lethal kill from a longer range. Less emphasis on stalking and health than bow hunting.
