Bears are super smart mammals, way smarter than any cat. That's why they fuck with humans. They know that humans are basically meaty jelly beans who carry around jars of peanut butter. Big cats are just idiots who think that big animals mean big fights so they stay away from people for the most part.
Anyway, if you go camping just stay away from glamp sites and rednecks and stow your food properly as per park recommendations. If you do that you will probably never have an interaction with a bear. All bears play a key role in their environments and they should stay there.
