I can physically restrain the more medium sized dogs like a lab or pitbull (atleast one at a time, maybe 2 if I get em both in a chokehold), but for more physically capable dogs, I carry this in my front pocket. I know, a pistol is better, but until I get a few checks from my new job I'm gonna be stuck with this. Won't prevent a bite or 2, but it'll keep em from mauling my ass
