I was wandering around off trail in the hills around Sedona. I was scrambling up a trail and got spooked about slipping/injuring myself on the loose rock so I decided to turn around. I got lost trying to make it back to trail and sun was setting. I was out of water and had no protection for the cold. Thankfully I picked up another trail and managed to make it back to trailhead within a couple hours but it spooked me a little since I was so unprepared. It wasn't truly dangerous since I could see town off in the distance from the hills and I had a cellphone.
