>>1676789>>>1676787 (You)>Can you give me a quick rundown on feeder rods? I bought one by accident looking for cheap loaner surf rods, why are they so long and soft? I have catfish and other coarse fish near me but not sure how you're supposed to use them.A feeder rod is a rod for fishing with a feeder cage. You mix dryfeed, a sand like substance with water till you can use it to create a small top and bottom on your feeder cage. Inside the cage there are maggots, cut up worms or other bait. The cage is used a transport middle for the bait, the fish are not that fond of the dry feed, it is more to close the cage. You use a side line to connect the cage and an underline with a hook. The cage is thrown with the rod and a reel. You use the line clip on the reel to throw it in the same spot. At that spot you continually feed with the feeder cage. At some point there are tons of fish there due to the constant bait being dropped and then you catch fish after fish. The rods are so soft and have an high visibility top to see when the fish bites, since there is no other way to check for bites.
