>>1677008>I have a two car garage that could easily fit a hard shell if it weren't for my car, two motorbikes, work bench and general storage.I think you could definitely fit an Ocean Kayak Nalu 12.5. The Nalu comes in two lengths, 11 feet and 12.5 feet. Don't skimp and get the 11. These boats are very thin and you really want all the buoyancy the 12.5 has.
Here's another picture. Here it's being used as a paddle board. It comes ready to accept any standard 4 point kayak seat, and I use it as a kayak 80% of the time.
Again, I can't overstate the convenience of how light this boat is. You want to get out there and get on the water. With an inflatable you have to pump it up. With a big heavy hard shell you have to risk spraining your back getting the 80 lb weight off your car. The Nalu 12.5 only weighs 50 lbs. It'll be off your car and on the water before you know it.
If it's CONVENIENT to use you're more likely to actually use it. Get yourself a boat you're excited to take out every weekend, not a boat that's a drag to carry or set up.
