I also like being able to pull the coils back up the line to instantly undo the knot. I've never had them slip out before. That may be because I use more wraps?
Here's what mine looks like. When I pulled it hard enough to break, it broke the line about 2 inches up from the knot and the knot slipped only a tiny bit as evidenced by the remaining end of the line shortening. However, I suspect that amount of slippage is actually just the knot tightening up to its full strength, which is how the knot works. In fact, I have to use some force to push the knot around the snap it is tied to.
The line broke at 9lbs (6lbs test line,) on my scales.
