>>2347717So as it turns out, what I suspected was mold growth and myc growth were the total opposite! I thought the area outlined in blue was growing quick, but it would have taken up the entire plate by now and it hasn't, and no turning green either. Instead you can even see it eat the orange food coloring which is usually a good indicator since mycelium does that, but mold or bacteria doesnt(see photo)
Plate on the left is the transfer I took that I thought was myc. And on the right is the mother plate. I took 2 transfers a few days ago of the clean myc, just waiting for it to grow out to know for certain, but I'm 99% positive its legit this time! I'll post pics of the new transfers in a few days
