i also often take trash bags to clean up the disgusting shit homeless people and others leave along trails or in parks, and i always take random stuff like sweet potatoes, apples and carrots to leave behind for nature
i consider myself the caretaker of a particular patch of forest near my town, it gives me a sense of fulfillment to keep it clean and it hosts my favorite white oak and osage orange trees
just take some water, maybe a small knife and something to eat, you'll find the things you like on your own
