Afterall, couldn't you just use the A-frame as a plow point? Just don't setup the other end if you don't have the materials to do so?
Of course this is the UL general, so maybe not.
Also, about the gear, that plow point is actually a bit longer than pic rel A-frame so you could probably put some hear above your head.
