For my dog bros, Ruffwear harness packs are worth consideration if you like bringing the beast on the trail. Best dog pack I've used yet, super comfy padding and no chafe/raw spots after 20'ish miles on the first outing with it. They make bigger packs if you need your dog to haul ALL of his own stuff for multi-day jaunts. The Front Range I got is enough for an overnighter with the dog, longer if I just have him haul his hard kit (bowls, leashes, lights, first aid) and I haul his bed, water and food. Damn good value at $80, stays put despite running through brush and rolling around.
