It's titanium, and I've only had to replace the battery once. It's been through the wash a dozen times, and never had a problem swimming with it.
The main thing I like about it is the nylon strap bands. I have different colors, and have a leather strap if I need to dress it up for special occasions, but most importantly, you can swap out a band, and throw it in the laundry.
nobody ever talks about how funky watch bands smell. Leather bands specifically are terrible.
