This questions pops up a dozen times a month, but we never hear back from any of them. My favorite was the guy who decided he was going to fly from Portland to Orlando, buy a bunch of gear at Walmart, then walk back. He had zero hiking experience. The dude actually made it like a few miles from his Florida hotel room, then setup near a homeless camp. His last post was about people harassing him and his feet being horrendously uncomfortable. And I don’t think he had any kind of shelter.
Still, even if you just go for a day hike, if it’s your first time and you were inspired by this board let us know.
