I did a month long solo trip in New Mexico. I own an acre of land adjacent to a NF and used it as a base camp and kept everything locked in my toolbox on my truck. I then did four one week long loops cloverleafing around my truck. Best times of my life. On resupply days I'd drive down to the nearest town an hour and a half away and buy fresh food and other luxuries. Just be comfortable with your abilities and know your limitations. Don't get caught up in the moment and do something stupid. Don't forget you have no backup and if you do something dumb and break your legs you will most likely die and if not it will suck ass.
