>>2320867I honestly have no experience with hiking/outdoors brands, but from what I saw they tend to be made from modern lightweight synthetic fibers which are prone to ripping and burning so I chose military-oriented brands/milsurp stuff. If you like being miserable and wander in dense swampy forests with beavers having fun cutting down trees all over the place then extra weight is a sane trade-off for durability and mil-grade stuff seems to be cheaper.
Also I live in tick land with Encephalitis being very common so clothing has to cover body well and be tucked in and space where trousers and jacket meets have to be tight so ticks can't go straight up so waist belt on jacket is a good feature.
