>>2111749I use a Savotta FDF sleeping pad. It was the same model that I was (and so was my father before me) issued during conscription (some of the issued sleeping pads in our unit were dated as old as 1987, they are indestructible), and I fell in love with it pretty much instantly. It has extra flaps so that you can cover up an additional area of land with it, keeping your sleeping bag dry and clean. Also, if you place multiple of those next together, you do not even need a tent floor of any kinds, due to the flaps overlapping and making essentially one large water resistant area. This was pretty great since that way the muddy soil didn't get on to our sleeping bags.
