When I got diagnosed, it was by a knee doctor for massive swelling, a big pus blister and arthritis so bad I could barely hobble around on a crutch. The doc said most people don't get the bulls eye or even remember being bit. You can get lyme instantly, the 24 hour thing is an old wives tale. Go to the doctor if you feel unusual in any way, such as overly tired, general bad feeling, low grade fever, or joint pain. I am just now getting over my fear of WMNF since I got over it.
