>Severe lack of public land, if you live in Eastern NE like me you're pretty much fucked, there's a few public areas but they're boring as fuck. The prettiest hiking in Nebraska lies in Chadron State Park or the Sandhills, and it's NOTHING compared to the types of things you can see out west.
I hope to move out of NE by the time I'm 30, I'm sick of practicing Bushcraft on a measly 200 acres of timber.
