>>239555Really isn't any good places to mount things in this truck. I wanted it down below the dash like I had in my last truck. The other 3rd-gen Dodges I test-drove had a pocket where mine has E-lockers/seatwarmers/swaybar switches... so that space that I would have used is filled already in this pickup.
Top of the dash trim sits at a funny angle, no way to mount something and have a decent viewing angle without some sort of bracket on there.
Was going to screw it to the overhead console, then I looked on ebay for a few suction-cup windshield mounts. Bought that and a second separation kit (one for the radio to panel, second for the panel to mic). Mic lives down by the cupholder, ext. speaker mounted behind the kickplate by the transfer case shifter.
I hate messy setups with cables everywhere, and I *really* didn't want the mic hanging from the rearview mirror. This truck's redneck enough already.
