This. They'll let lowly peoples' houses burn because it looks good on the news for more funding- but keep it the fuck away from cities, the rich, and tribal borders. They'll send all the funding to making layers of bulldoze lines when it gets too close. I worked in fire camps and I tell you they dont give a damn about rushing it unless it would be a scandal. Rural peoples' homes and a few thousand wildlife is nothing but more funding- prolong without letting it get out of control for more money. You should see the real numbers how much a day is food, gas, replacement pants, batteries. All tax payer handled. It's disgraceful.
