If you're long-distance camping for a couple of weeks at a time, you aren't going to be able to fit all your food and shit into your kayak. Also when camping with multiple people, having to bring two kayaks can be a pain compared to just sharing a canoe with two people (although it's mainly just preference).
Also aside from the utility, canoes just look much more wholesome to me and less "tech-y" and "glamp-y" like you're some see-from-space power ranger who just walked out of REI. You can also bring along a novice gf along and show her how cool you are, then you can fuck her in the canoe.
Also while we're talking about camping watercraft, sailboats are the ultimate choice.
