This chart shows the suitability of several gaseous fuels and fuel blends for use in cold temperatures. A fuel needs to have slightly more than 1 atmosphere (atm) of pressure to escape the canister/cylinder at sea level. According to the chart, propane is by far the best as it is usable down to around -45 degrees F. Butane on the other hand is only useful down to 35 degrees F.
