Don't expect to get around with English only outside major cities
I would recommend starting with a warm season
north ural mountains are not for beginners - pic related
bears and other dangerous wildlife may be a problem in some regions, ask your guide in advance if it is a risk on the planned route
Some nice places to get /out/, not in any particular order (sorry if this seems like to obvious of a list)
- Caucasus mountains
- Ural mountains
- Altai Mountains
- Baikal (the north part has the iconic look, south is kind of shit)
- Kamchatka (seems to be more on the expensive side if it matters)
- Sakhalin and Islands in the Sea of Okhotsk
