>>1834904I am the op. The thread served its purpose. I actually decided I’m just going to hike White Mountain Peak instead. It’s only 200ft shorter than Whitney with a trailhead that starts at 11k. It also looks like the fucking moon and due to its lack of popularity you can just camp out at the trailhead no permits or nothing. I’ll probably sleep in my van up there for two days and then do the hike.
