Pack in pic looks good. Has good features. It is mid-tier durable by the fabric weight, so look elsewhere if you want a bomber one that will last years of abuse. Can't vouch for the quality of the stitching. Hipbelt looks rather puny for any large weight (eg 5 days food carry, or desert water carry), front zip seems pointless. Idk what that front loop is for
Black will heat up like a furnace in summer and spoil the food inside faster
A word of advice: The most subtle change in strap shape can have massive improvements in comfort. S shaped, J shaped, wide or narrow, thin or super stiff and padded, it's down to your anatomy (skinny vs stocky, broad shouldered, wide ribcage or not, dense zyzz-tier trapezius or slender) personal preference but trust me - you will start thinking about it a lot if you end up with an uncomfy pack. Important to try. Buy all your options (and more), or visit a store, and seriously load them up (bring at least 15kg of water bottles for example) and see how they carry OVER AN EXTENDED TIME (1hr+ of moving, extending arms etc)
Also Nippon is a land of skinny hobbits, Montbell has asian sizes, make sure it fits
