>>2390653This probably isn't what many of you are looking for but figure I'll throw it out there. I wear several hats but through the summer a lot of my time is spent on a small landscaping and gardening business I run. I work when I want, charge 25-40 per hour depending on the client and what kind of work they want (sod removal, moving rocks is more than pulling weeds etc) and at least in my area there is basically infinite demand.
My "shtick" so to speak is that I'm a permaculturalist and mostly use hand tools. So unlike most landscape companies that send a crew of kids with weed whackers who buzz the weeds so they need to come back next month, I go through their yard and pull each unwanted plant by the root so it doesn't come back. I have found this is something most people hate having to do, but for me it's meditation. So many people, particularly older ladies are delighted to have someone else do it. I can wander to someone's house, relax listening to podcasts for a few hours while I make someone's yard look better, pocket some cash and relax for the rest of the day.
And as I say, because people seem largely uninterested in doing the work to maintain their own yards, they are delighted to have someone else do it. I had two people approach me today alone seeing what I was doing and ask for help.
There's a little bit of networking in the start if you're new but in my opinion as someone who loves gardening it's easy easy money.
