>>810592that's because in a real carabiner the load is along the spine where it is strongest, and they're able to be opened while loaded, instead of concentrating all the weight on the hinge of the gate where it is the weakest and putting the load on the gate making it more difficult to open when loaded. that's why this design is only in gimmick size, because it can't be trusted with any real load.
