Pic rel for example. This happened 2 days ago. His body was found using an IMSI Catcher. Google it if you're interested, but it's basically a tracking device to find phones. If you have some money to spare, you can even do one yourself. It only works with GSM networks, but in the mountains that's more than enough since there are no cell towers.
