I got to see that stuff because the last person who visited didn't loot the site, and the next person can see it after I leave, etc. Also its cooler to find old bricks and equipment in their original context out in the wild then out of context in someones private collection.
Having said that, it would be fun to start collecting bricks. This guy has an example of nearly every brick manufactured in California.
