RIP my $18 LC lure (bottom one in pic related). You have a good run for almost 2 years and countless fishes. I snagged it on some spot at the beach. It also took one of my kastmaster. I rarely get snagged on the beach. It must be some huge debris that get pushed to close shore because it doesn’t feel like vegetation snag at all. There isn’t rock anywhere near that spot either. I might get a new one in that color again once I get a chance but I’ll put the middle one to use for now. I’m not sure how well mackerel pattern will do on the surf but sometimes fishes don’t care about pattern anyway.

There are other shit equivalent to megabass too with around the same price ranfw. It’s truly a slippery slope. Lucky craft, duo realis, etc. I heard that lucky craft flash pointer is as good as megabass for the same price. I never bought megabass but I have a few lucky craft that I use for saltwater and they are the most producing lure for sure out of everything I have.

I got a fat 15 inches yellowfin croaker on mine today.

You should also try to get one lucky craft surf pointer 115mr to be part of your kit. It is not as versatile as the flashminnow but it is a lot cheaper at $12. It dives 3-5 ft, slightly fatter, and cast farther than the flashminnow. Once in a while, you will find a spot that has deeper water and a surf pointer might be perfect for those deeper spot since flashminnow only dives 3 ft.
