>>1198337>>1198831>>1199122>>1199234There's 4 species of Eiders. The one in Oregon is a Steller's Eider, which are normally found in Alaska, Siberia, and far northern Europe (Svalbard, etc.). The OR individual is the first one in North America outside of Alaska since 1995.
Common Eiders (in the swede pic) are found all over the Atlantic as well Northern Alaska.
