I just get triggered when a knife is so closely cloned that it's trying to be sold as the real thing (pic). As for where it's manufactured, that's personal preference as well. I'd be more specific to the quality of work from the shop. I do tend to like when they're in the US too, though.
It's OK to dislike a brand for whatever reason. I have my own list, usually based on a dislike of the makers.
