Since you already have tapered leaders on the way, I would suggest tying on one of those copper John's in the top right then determining how deep you want to fish (10-36 inches depending on conditions, both being severe extremes) then cutting the leaders a few inches long of that depth with the fly still attached, set it aside, Tie on one of the big foam flies as a bobber-with-a-hook-in-it, then tying the nymph to the bend of that hook. Or you could buy tippet, tie on a dry fly, tie a piece of tippet to the bobber- I mean fly, then hang a nymph (like a copper john) [desired length] under it.
Cast it in the vicinity of sunfish and give It a little life and you should be able to catch something
