For instant noodles, you don't actually have to boil them the whole time. You can just throw the noodles in boiling water then shut the stove off and wait. The texture comes out perfect. I find this method easier than boiling them when using a backpacking stove, and it saves gas.
My next tip is to buy picrel instant noodles because they taste good.
