I usually go with my wife. It's pretty enjoyable except when she starts to whine about how tough the terrain is or how heavy her pack is. I can usually count on her starting a silly argument about something unrelated because she's uncomfortable in some way (cold/tired/dirty/sore/whatever) but honestly that's just how women are. I consider myself lucky because she doesn't bitch out when it comes to tough hikes, she likes to go into the back country, and isn't a massive normie who just wants to car camp and drink trulys next to a bluetooth speaker. We also take our dog along which is nice.
