I like these, ~$70usd or less if you find on sale, if you're going for hot weather. They make convertible too if you want.
Stretchy as hell and gusseted crotch, because they are rock climbing pants, so you get full range of motion and easy to roll up if crossing rivers.
Pretty breathable and quite light, made with a few small holes near the crotch that help a bit with venting.
97% nylon, 3% spandex. Surprisingly durable, I haven't come close to wearing holes in them; using for 2 years going hard and at work. Dry quickly too and don't stank bad like polyester.
Cons: I wouldn't wear them in cold weather. I have with thick base layer, but I prefer more wind resistance.
Kinda pricey for what they are. You can prob find something similar at walmart/costco for half or even a quarter of the price, but they wont last as long, feel as nice, and not build as good. Personally I'd rather invest in something that lasts a while than to buy new cheap things every year.
Depending on what you do, may not fit your needs. Barrelling through heavy thorns, you're likely to catch them and pull some threads. These are more for moving fast and light in hot weather without getting swamp ass.
