Their relationship will be brief. It will be memorable. Nothing they've ever experienced will compare with it. Even though they hoped for this moment, nay, YEARNED for this moment, it was beyond anything they could've imagined.
But it will end in pain and suffering. The separation will be no surprise when it comes. Perhaps they'll meet again once or twice; brief seconds, compared to the first glorious encounter. They'll think back on it someday, and ask themselves: "was it worth it?" And they'll realize it wasn't.
