So, the solution is finding an "Activity" where the active part involves absolutely nothing but holding a stick. This way, you still feel like you're accomplishing something while you relax, without the guilt, your body and mind are actually free to let go.
When I was young with no reponsibility, I hated the idea of fishing too. I could never slow myself down enough to enjoy it. As I got older and my life picked up its pace, I love the opportunity to slow myself down every now and then with a bit of fishing.
