>>372788>Broken backyeah 55lbs is pretty overkill if youre hiking for recreation and for a week or more, but if this is for getting the fuck out of dodge/ living innawoods indefinitely then fuck off im taking it. Believe me eventually you'll run low on supplies and WISH it WAS heavier. Plus were not thru-hiking the AT, im gonna drive until i cant and only then will i start humping it. If i get fatigued i can stash half my shit and make 2 trips and leap frog my gear if need be. dont care how much longer it takes because i dont have a deadline to meet if SHTF and there aint shit else to do but "survive".
Besides you could always rig up a travois once youre innawoods if shit gets too crazy.
That and i wont be rucking my gear every day, you bet your ass im gonna set up a camp once i feel im in a remote enough area. Nomadic hunters didnt move EVERY day, they stuck around for a while before moving on.
>Take only one hammocki dont have a second one pictured so....?
>Let a gun at homeNah if anything id swap the .22 for a pack rifle ive been working on made from a crickett youth rifle (i.e. pic related). WAY lighter but in all honesty i dont trust it (or my chiappa little badger) they way i do my 10/22 (even if it has WAY more moving parts) so its a toss up.
