No, I think Spring is excellent for it, I always pay close attention to and take a lot of photos of the very first blooms on the tiniest of things, and observe the bumble bees coming /out/ as the first pollinators of the year. The bumble bees are less cold sensitive because their larger muscles produce more heat, so they beat the honey bees by a couple or so weeks. Once it starts getting "hot" they overheat easily though, and only forage in mornings and evenings, whereas during the very beginning of Spring, they forage all day. Anyway, I love the shit out of Spring, it is filled with fascinating things to observe as so many things begin "waking back up". Pic related is Painted Buckeye from innawoods March 18th.
