I really prefer logger style boots. The taller heel helps maintain traction on steep slopes, and the top lace eyelet helps keep the boot snug around your leg so dirt, leaves, needles, thorns ect don't fall and work their way into your boot when you're hiking all day. A little heavy and hot but very comfortable when broken in. I usually wear Carolinas but these Georgia's were on Amazon for $115 so I had to try them. So far been extremely comfortable, a little warm but very manageable. Been hiking in 85+ degree weather. I use them mainly for bow hunting, as im off trail almost all day.
