I own a Marmot Atom, and while I love that it packs up the size of a football, weighs 23 oz, and keeps me warm in 35 deg weather, I am also realistic about its limitations. It's far from a rugged/durable piece of gear. The feathers have started to poke through in spots, the down will eventually lose its loft, the seams will eventually wear out and the stitching come out. It's just not possible to make a piece of gear this light that is also durable. I will have to buy at least a few more in my lifetime as they wear out. That's just reality.
