It's not strictly an alice pack, but are these older external frame jansports generally decent? I might replace the straps with something a bit more ergonomic but the frame itself seems to be stable. My only concern it that the bag is built into a horizontal extension which it hangs from so if it tears or one of the zippers fails it might all be fucked.
