>>1159065I don't see anyone here pushing tobacco on people. It's literally never happened in the past 10 threads. We get people asking about it and we provide honest answers about why we enjoy it.
Like anything enjoyable you have to measure the risks vs what you get from it. For us we are willing to accept a very marginal increase in cancer risk for the net gain of enjoyment, and other people should be free to make that same assessment.
I do the same thing when I go rock climbing, or take a road trip, or go backpacking. Risk vs reward.
Enjoyed in moderation and without the cocktail of cigarette additives, and not inhaled, tobacco has marginal risk.
Assess your environment for the following things:
>Synthetic carpet>furniture that isn't 20 years old>fabric softener>any mattress that isn't made of latex with all natural outer coveringI'm going to guess you can check off most of that list. You are constantly swimming in a vat of carcinogens and endocrine disruptors 24/7, but you get up in arms about someone smoking a pipe literally once or twice a week? You've swallowed alarmist overtures that have washed over from cigarettes which are genuinely dangerous due to additives, quantity consumed, and most critically being inhaled.
I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want and so should everyone else.
