Plus, i'm not a hardcore /out/ist so i need the practice. HOWEVER, i was driven off by the single worst tick infestation ive EVER seen. Literally a dozen ticks per leg, 50 yards into the woods. I switched into my permethrime treated clothing, which helped, but it really only killed the black legged tick nymphs. The adult Lonestar ticks survived the entire journey up my pants and kept trying to fimd a way passed my shirt. So i said fuck it and spent the weekend in the cabin. It sucked to bail on my plans, but not as much as the probably guarenteed lymes disease I was bound to contract would have sucked.
