If I had more time I would have done something like that. We got the van in May, it had a lot of mechanical issues (wasn't maintained even though it had 100k). It was in excellent condition. We spent the summer building. I was also rebuilding a wankel too, so my time was pretty much crunched.
I'll probably do a bus after I reach the west coast, and pass this back to the previous owner (my friend)
If that's the interior of the bus you are looking at, I say go for it. Looks like the hard stuff is out of the way and would be absolutely perfect for what your needs are.
