This book is like a hunnred years old, so one must take it with a grain of proverbial salt. However, it's full of classic olden-times skills and know-how, much of which has been otherwise lost.
It's super useful, and all based on real experience, but at the very least it's inspiring as hell.
Also, toward the end where he gets into actually building proper cabins and homes, his own cabin is featured in the illustrations. And I'll-tell-you-hwat it kinda puts Dick Pronneke's to shame NOT THAT I WANT TO START A FIGHT
