I'd go for wool, isn't all that heavier and if you get the untreated kind with some lanolin still in it, it won't smell like shit after too three days. Id opt for a mesh as innermost layer, and rather than some coma-sweater,a couple of thinner ones.
Never been a fan of down in >32F(0C) conditions as it gets pretty useless when wet.
