>>211620hue hue hue that's funny and I'ma gonna let you finish, but Pic related. OMGITSSOTALL not rly.
I'm 6'3 and it barely crests my shoulders. It's shorter than most civilian packs are that have a comparable carrying capacity. Civvie packs generally are taller because they're designed for prepared trails, not dead reckoning navigation through the woodline at night having to deal with wait-a-minute vines, branches that the asshole in front didn't hold till you got there, etc.
>>211626It works great. You've got 4 straps as you can see from my picture. 2 up 2 sideways. Combine the wings and lids? You can put whatever the hell you want in it. 5 gallon water can, dead suitor-to-daughter for that remote burial, whatever the fuck you want.
Honestly, I've never had problems with any hydration system, and if it was an issue I'd just shift them from the internal pouches to the external tunnels on the lateral wings. I don't use those spots for hydration pouches anyway, I keep those loaded into the outer tunnels because I use the 2 large and 2 small internal pockets for communications equipment storage (antennas and cables). My preferred hydration system is the MSR dromedary bags due to both being tougher/larger than other systems as well as directly interfacing with my purification pump.
Further questions about it, get on IRC.
irc.rizon.net #out I'm always in there. Just pipe up asking bout the Eberlestock. I'm outa here because Marines are crying about ALICE rucks hurting their tender shoulders.
