I've been looking at Falcons recently and had a thought of how you could squeeze essentially something the length of a large churchwarden into a conventionally sized pipe.
Essentially, rather than just the single stem, the pipe would look like an organ at each end; a central tube with two tubes in it and two tubes at the side. These would be sealed at either end with a plastic or metal attachment to ensure the smoke didn't escape while allowing easy access to the pipes for cleaning.
As you can see; the smoke would travel down the central tube, back up the two other tubes towards the bowl and back down the stem; this would basically mean that the smoke would be traveling the length of three conventional pipes in the space of a single pipe, cooling the smoke and allowing it to dry out.
The engineering would be pretty simple; at it's core, its basically three pipes soldered together, two pipes which slot into the connectors, room for any mouthpiece one would like a connector with which one could screw in a Falcon bowl. One could, potentially even make this out of briar or other woods, although aesthetically it'd be a bit unorthodox while this would, at least, stay close to the Falcon-esque look.
